Investment Products Analyst
This is a long-running programme around the bank's investment offering: extending what clients can buy and how they are served, and keeping the underlying journeys and applications current as regulation and commercial priorities move. You will work across a portfolio of initiatives rather than a single release.
You will be a good fit if you have delivered investment-services change before, are comfortable operating between product owners and engineers, and can turn a regulatory or commercial requirement into a process and a functional design that someone can build.
Required Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in business analysis in the financial sector, ideally in banking, brokerage, asset management or a similar investment-services environment
Practical knowledge of investment products and investment-service processes (client onboarding and suitability, order placement and execution, portfolio and product servicing)
A working command of the rules that shape investment services – MiFID II above all: suitability and appropriateness assessment, product governance, and the disclosure and reporting obligations that follow
Ability to draw requirements out of stakeholders who have not yet written them down, and to document and analyse them so they hold up through delivery
Experience translating business and regulatory requirements into clear functional specifications (user stories, process models, data mappings, use cases, acceptance criteria)
A track record of delivery alongside engineering teams – from shaping the solution through to release and post-go-live support
Nice to Have:
Prior work on digital investment journeys – purchase, onboarding or servicing delivered through web, mobile or branch front-ends
Exposure to compliance-driven delivery, where the deadline is set by a regulator rather than a roadmap
Familiarity with core investment platforms and market infrastructure (brokerage/transaction systems, fund distribution and transfer-agent platforms, custody and settlement)
Understanding of front-to-back investment product flow: order capture, execution, confirmation, settlement and reconciliation
Scope of Services:
Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements for investment products in close collaboration with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
Map and design the target processes behind investment products, including those that exist because a regulation requires them – suitability assessment, product governance and client disclosures
Design functional solutions for investment applications and processes – covering process flows, data models and system behaviour specifications
Translate business and regulatory requirements into detailed functional documentation consumable by the development team (user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings)
Act as the primary point of contact between business and technology for assigned project workstreams
Lead and manage selected project workstreams – coordinating tasks, tracking progress and escalating risks where needed
Keep product, engineering, Compliance and Legal aligned on what is being built and why
