MES/MOM Technical Lead
Be part of a large-scale manufacturing transformation where engineering meets digital innovation. Our team is developing a modern, modular operations platform that bridges ERP, engineering, quality, and production, delivering end-to-end visibility and helping shape the future of Engineer-to-Order manufacturing.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience delivering production software systems, integration platforms, or industrial applications.
3+ years in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or equivalent technical ownership role.
Production experience with MES, MOM, manufacturing platforms, shop-floor applications, or related industrial software.
Strong experience integrating ERP systems with manufacturing or operational systems.
Understanding of production orders, BOMs, routings, operations, work centres, materials, labour, quality, genealogy, and traceability.
Strong relational data-modelling and SQL skills.
Practical understanding of ISA-95 boundaries and Level 3/Level 4 integration.
Experience with at least one industrial integration pattern such as OPC UA, MQTT, edge gateways, PLC/HMI/SCADA integration, or machine-vendor APIs.
Ability to lead conversations across software engineering, production, quality, engineering, IT/OT, and external vendors.
Willingness to work regularly on-site and participate in commissioning and go-live activities.
Main responsibilities:
Own the technical architecture of the modular MES/MOM systems and industrial integrations.
Lead hands-on software delivery across backend services, integration components, operational workflows, and data models.
Define information flows between IFS Cloud/ERP, MES/MOM, engineering systems, quality systems, and shop-floor equipment.
Design ERP integrations covering production orders, project structures, items, BOMs, routings, work status, labour, quality events, and traceability.
Establish the digital thread between engineering definitions, manufacturing execution, quality gates, certificates, inspection evidence, and final equipment documentation.
Define reusable machine and production-cell integration patterns using APIs, messaging, OPC UA, MQTT, edge gateways, and vendor interfaces.
Define canonical manufacturing data models for items, BOMs, routings, operations, equipment, welds, materials, documents, and quality records.
Build reliability and auditability into integrations, including idempotency, retries, replay, offline buffering, reconciliation, versioning, data lineage, and audit trails.
Translate manufacturing processes into system workflows covering dispatching, work instructions, production reporting, downtime, punch lists, quality gates, and traceability.
Support integration testing, FAT/SAT activities, commissioning, go-live, incident resolution, and operational handover.
