QA Engineer (Regular)
Project description:
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a long-term product development initiative focused on enterprise-grade HR and Payroll solutions. The role combines manual testing with the opportunity to contribute to test automation, helping ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of business-critical applications used by organizations across multiple industries.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers, and Designers to validate new features, identify defects, and continuously improve product quality. As part of a collaborative product team, you will have the opportunity to develop automation skills using modern testing technologies such as Playwright, JavaScript, and Python while contributing to the overall QA strategy and testing processes.
This role is ideal for a QA professional who enjoys working with complex business applications, has an interest in HR, Payroll, or ERP domains, and wants to grow their expertise in both manual and automated testing.

Requirements:
2–5 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automated)
Experience testing business applications, preferably HR, Payroll, or ERP systems
Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
Experience creating and maintaining test cases and test documentation
Basic knowledge of Playwright or willingness to develop automation skills using the framework
Knowledge of JavaScript or Python sufficient to create and maintain automated test scripts
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, TestRail)
Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
Good communication and collaboration skills
English proficiency at B2 level
Polish proficiency at B2 level
Nice to have:
Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow
Experience testing enterprise HR, Payroll, or ERP solutions
Experience with Playwright-based test automation (UI, API, E2E)
Knowledge of SQL and database validation
Experience with API testing (REST and SOAP)
Experience working with .NET, React, or Angular-based applications
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services
Knowledge of Git and version control practices
Understanding of CI/CD processes and pipelines
Experience working in GDPR-sensitive environments
ISTQB or equivalent certification
Experience with quality metrics reporting and dashboards
Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow
Main responsibilities:
Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across HR and Payroll modules
Create and enhance automated tests using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
Develop end-to-end, component, and API test scenarios
Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Designers, and Developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Identify, document, and track defects in Azure DevOps and verify implemented fixes
Prepare and maintain test data and test environments
Create and update test plans, test reports, and quality documentation
Participate in requirements reviews and test impact analysis
Support release activities and quality assurance processes across the product lifecycle
Report testing progress, quality metrics, and potential risks to stakeholders
