Senior Snowflake Engineer/Architect with Data Security
We are looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Architect to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise in Snowflake and Azure with strong architectural thinking, security awareness, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering roles
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure
2+ years of experience as a Snowflake Architect
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep)
Strong understanding of Azure Cloud architecture
Deep knowledge of Snowflake security and data protection mechanisms
Advanced data modeling skills
Experience assessing and optimizing Snowflake platforms for security and scalabilit
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Exposure to AI-driven data solutions beyond Snowflake Cortex
Certifications in Snowflake or Azure
Main responsibilities:
Design, architect, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake and Azure
Lead Snowflake architecture initiatives, ensuring performance, scalability, and security best practices
Conduct Snowflake Data Platform assessments, particularly in security and scalability areas
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Bicep
Leverage Snowflake AI capabilities (e.g., Cortex AI) to enhance data solutions
Develop and maintain robust data models to support analytics and business intelligence
Define and enforce data security standards (access controls, encryption, auditability)
Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to data engineering teams

Participate in technical reviews, threat modelling and security assessments for data initiatives.
