3–5+ years of experience with C++ and Qt/QML
Hands-on experience with KWin and/or Wayland
Strong knowledge of low-level graphics (OpenGL / Vulkan)
Proficiency in Linux at developer level (debugging, performance tuning)
Experience working with open-source projects
Good practices in CI/CD and version control (Git)

Project description:
The project is part of the automotive domain, where KWin is used as the compositor for in-vehicle display systems (HUDs and clusters). The goal is to maintain, stabilize, and further develop KWin within a production automotive environment. The scope includes providing regular updates, bug fixing, developer support, and in certain cases, implementing new features. All changes must comply with open-source standards and be upstreamed to the main project.

Main responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance KWin in an automotive environment
Deliver regular updates to ensure stability and efficiency
Triage and fix compositor-related issues (Wayland, effects, shaders, plugins)
Provide support and troubleshooting for developers and users
Optimize performance and address hardware access challenges
Develop new features and extensions (when required)
Ensure FOSS compliance and upstream contributions to the main repository
