At Manage Now, we’re embarking on an exciting journey to establish a cutting-edge Delivery Center in Romania. Main responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer specialising in Linux systems to join our team at Manage Now. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in administering Red Hat and SUSE Linux systems, strong knowledge of Kubernetes OpenShift, and proficiency in Oracle database administration.

Responsibilities include ensuring smooth operation and support of various systems, implementing automation solutions, and participating in shift work and on-call duty. Strong team and communication skills, as well as a structured and goal-oriented work style, are essential.

Model of Work & Security Clearance:

• Hybrid work arrangement: Our employees primarily work remotely, with the expectation to attend the office if needed
• Willingness to work in a 3-shift rotation
• Participation in on-call duty once every two months
• Consent to reliability checks (ZÜ) by the respective State Criminal Police Offices (LKA) upon employment

Requirements:

• Several years of professional experience in administering RedHat and SUSE Linux systems
• Good knowledge of administering Kubernetes OpenShift cluster farms
• Good knowledge of Oracle database administration (version 19c) and PostgreSQL
• RedHat OpenShift Administration EX280 certification 
• Knowledge of administering jBoss middleware
• Basic knowledge of administering Windows server farms
• Basic knowledge of enterprise networks and certificate environments
• Experience with GxP processes and related requirements
• Strong team and communication skills
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work style
• Good English skills (B2); German is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Administer and operate RedHat and SUSE Linux systems for national and international clients
• Ensure smooth operation and provide support for:
  • RedHat / SUSE Linux server infrastructures
  • jBoss middleware components
  • Oracle databases (version 19c and higher) & PostgreSQL (including FEP)
  • RedHat Kubernetes OpenShift cluster farms
  • Redis database clusters
  • Various web servers (e.g., NGINX, Tomcat)
  • General application support on RHEL/SUSE Linux server farms
  • Support the implementation of GxP-compliant IT processes
• Execute release and version upgrades (operating systems & customer applications)
• Perform error analysis and troubleshooting according to ITIL
• Maintain system documentation and expand the knowledge database
• Implement automation solutions (e.g., with Ansible)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of system and application monitoring
