Senior ITSM Specialist – IT Service Continuity Management
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT Service Management with a focus on IT Service Continuity
- Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices, especially ITIL v4
- Experience in developing and maintaining ITSCM plans and procedures
- Familiarity with business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessment methodologies
- Proven experience in coordinating disaster recovery tests and continuity exercises
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced ITSM Specialist with a strong focus on IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM). This role is critical to ensuring the resilience and continuity of IT services in the face of disruptions. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, technical depth, and strong communication skills to lead continuity planning, risk assessments, and recovery strategies. This position requires fluency in both German and English, as it involves close collaboration with German-speaking clients and international teams.
Main responsibilities:
Continuity Planning & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) policies, standards, and procedures
- Conduct business impact analyses and risk assessments to identify critical services and dependencies
- Define recovery strategies and ensure alignment with business continuity plans
- Coordinate with IT and business units to ensure continuity requirements are met
Testing & Readiness
- Plan and execute regular disaster recovery and continuity tests
- Evaluate test results and implement improvements
- Ensure readiness of recovery sites, backup systems, and failover mechanisms
- Maintain documentation of test scenarios, outcomes, and action plans
Process Integration & Compliance
- Integrate ITSCM processes with Incident, Change, and Problem Management
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and ISO standards
- Define KPIs and reporting structures for continuity performance
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of continuity documentation
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as a trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders regarding ITSCM
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and decision-making documents
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for continuity awareness
- Coordinate with service providers and partners to ensure end-to-end continuity alignment
