Senior IT Service Management Specialist – SACM & CMDB (ServiceNow)
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT Service Management with a focus on SACM
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow, especially in: CMDB architecture and design, BMC Discovery integration, CMDB reporting and data modelling
- Proven experience with ISO 20000 / ISO 27001 standards and audit preparation
- Strong understanding of ITIL best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Service Management Specialist with a strong focus on Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) and ServiceNow CMDB architecture. This role is critical to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our SACM processes and CMDB structures across multiple enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, technical depth, and strong communication skills to lead SACM initiatives, support customer onboarding, and ensure compliance with ISO standards. This position requires fluency in both German and English, as it involves close collaboration with German-speaking clients and international teams.
Main responsibilities:
CMDB Architecture & Design
- Design and maintain a scalable, multi-tenant CMDB structure in ServiceNow
- Define CI classes, attributes, relationships, and lifecycle states aligned with ITIL and customer needs
- Develop modelling standards for complex IT and business services
- Integrate external data sources (e.g., BMC Discovery, SCCM, cloud providers, monitoring tools) for automated CI population Customer Onboarding & SACM Process Integration
- Analyse customer-specific requirements and translate them into SACM-compliant operational models
- Lead onboarding activities including data migration, CI mapping, and process customization
- Provide expert guidance on CMDB usage in Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams
Data Quality & Compliance
- Define and implement quality metrics, validation rules, and automated checks
- Ensure data integrity and audit readiness in compliance with ISO standards
- Perform regular CMDB audits and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Establish and maintain governance structures for SACM-related data
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement improvements in SACM processes and CMDB structures
- Lead initiatives to increase automation and operational efficiency
- Evaluate and introduce new ServiceNow modules and custom enhancements
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and service delivery teams to ensure end-to-end service transparency
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Advise clients, project managers, and internal leadership on SACM strategies and best practices
- Prepare decision-making documents, roadmaps, and presentations for management and customers
