Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team and lead the development of custom plugins that extend the Customer's API Management Platform. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure integrations with third-party systems and cloud services to meet enterprise client needs. You’ll work closely with architects, product managers, and fellow engineers to evolve the platform’s capabilities through clean and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom plugins to integrate the Gravitee platform with various third-party systems and cloud services.
• Implement efficient and scalable code using Java, ReactiveX (RxJava), and the Spring Framework.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that extend the platform's core functionalities.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to design high-impact integration solutions.
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to the evolution of engineering best practices and advocate for clean, testable code.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development with Java (7+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of Reactive Programming (RxJava) and the Spring ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Background in building scalable systems and integrating with external APIs/services.
• Familiarity with plugin architecture and modular code design is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities in remote team environments.
