Regular/Senior Cloud Operator
Project description:
Our customer is a leading German producer of customized solutions for the self-supply of solar-powered electricity. This includes photovoltaic, energy storage systems as well as cloud technology systems helping individuals to become energetically independent.
Please note that this position involves occasional on-call duty to resolve potential customer-critical incidents.
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement automation for recurring tasks within Kubernetes environments and contribute to the continuous improvement of related processes and tools.
- Support the integration and operation of solutions for cluster scaling, load balancing, and resource optimization in containerized infrastructures.
- Work with established open-source monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo or similar) to help ensure stable observability.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines by integrating build, test, and deployment steps into existing workflows.
- Adjust and maintain Helm charts and integrate them into automated deployment processes.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining GitOps tools such as ArgoCD to support automated application delivery.
- Analyze operational issues and assist in developing sustainable solutions to improve quality and reliability.
- Collaborate on the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches to automate provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
Requirements:
- at least 3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes cluster management and ecosystem tools
- Proven experience with automation and orchestration of infrastructure and application deployments
- Hands-on experience integrating and managing cluster scaling, load balancing, and resource optimization mechanisms
- Solid understanding of observability practices and tooling such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or similar
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with integration of automated build, test, and deploymentworkflows
- Proficiency in customizing and managing Helm charts and embedding them in continuous deployment pipelines
- Experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or similar tools (e.g., Flux)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux-based environments; ability to perform deep root cause analysis
- Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
