Cloud Operations Engineer - DevOps with Azure
We’re looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer - DevOps with Azure to join a dynamic team responsible for building and operating the monitoring infrastructure of a high-scale client platform. Role description and requirements
Core Competencies
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including core services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vaults, Resource Groups, Azure Monitor).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in ARM/Bicep templates for environment provisioning.
- Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. Able to create dashboards, alerts, and troubleshoot performance issues.
Security & Compliance
- Understanding of Azure RBAC, managed identities, and secret management (Key Vault).
- Basic knowledge of network security.
- Awareness of cloud compliance standards and logging/audit best practices.
Automation & Scripting
- Proficiency in PowerShell (and/or Python) for task automation.
- Experience integrating CloudOps tasks with CI/CD pipelines.
Incident Management
- Experience with on-call support and incident triage for cloud environments.
- Familiarity with incident tracking systems.
- Comfortable writing or following checklists and participating in post-incident reviews.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Able to maintain clear documentation of environments, playbooks, and procedures.
- Strong communicator, capable of cross-team collaboration (Dev, Security, Infra).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–5+ years of experience in a CloudOps/Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps Engineer role.
- Certifications like AZ-104, AZ-400 are a plus.
- Exposure to OpenTelemetry or log tracing tools is nice to have
Additional information:
- Possible travels to UK, but not regular, for less than a week.
- On call duty - all team members participate in paid on-call.
