We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to assist in the setup and ongoing data pipeline development for a cloud-based analytics environment. This resource will focus on Snowflake platform configuration, data ingestion, and pipeline optimization, working under the direction of the project’s lead developer. The role involves minimal direct client interaction and will support internal integration efforts as part of a larger manufacturing or food & beverage data initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the initial setup and configuration of the Snowflake environment, including security, roles, and warehouse sizing.
• Develop and maintain data flows and pipelines into Snowflake from various upstream systems.
• Create and optimize data models, staging areas, and transformation logic for reporting and analytics use cases.
• Support internal development teams with performant SQL scripting, warehouse tuning, and object management.
• Collaborate with the technical lead to implement architectural standards and troubleshoot pipeline or query issues.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake platform setup, development, and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling for analytics workloads.
• Experience integrating data from structured and semi-structured sources.
• Comfortable working in a support role within a broader project team with minimal client-facing responsibilities.
• Ability to follow technical direction and contribute to high-quality, scalable data architecture.

Preferred Experience:

• Background working with manufacturing or food & beverage sector data (e.g., production systems, supply chain, SCADA/MES inputs).
• Exposure to data lake or UNS (Unified Namespace) concepts in industrial environments.
• Experience working in collaboration with Power BI or other BI/reporting platforms.
