Business Growth Manager (Sales Accelerators)
Project Description
As a Business Growth Manager, you will take ownership of unit-specific P&L management, sales plans, and new business development initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients, handling inquiries, creating presentations, and developing upselling strategies. You will play a crucial role in managing and executing growth plans, responding to client needs, and positioning our solutions to meet market demands.
Main responsibilities
- Business Growth Strategy: Collaborate with Business Unit Directors (e.g., IoT, Financial Services) to define growth strategies, manage sales accelerators, and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- P&L Management: Take ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) for the assigned business units, monitoring revenue and profitability metrics, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Sales Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including targets, forecasts, and goals for unit-specific growth. Ensure these plans are aligned with the broader company objectives.
- Client Interaction: Respond to sales inquiries, requests, and manage client-facing interactions. Serve as a key point of contact for clients, offering expert knowledge of products and services.
- Presentations and Proposals: Create compelling client presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to their needs. Work closely with the sales team to provide the necessary collateral and product details.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients, developing value-added solutions to increase overall sales.
- New Business Development: Proactively seek new business opportunities, driving the expansion of the business units through innovative approaches and networking with potential clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of business unit objectives and sales strategies.
Position requirements
- Experience in product management, ideally in the software development industry.
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in English: Both written and spoken – it is a must for client-facing and internal communications.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong experience in managing client relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that drive value and growth.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business financials and P&L management, with a strategic mindset to drive unit-specific growth and profitability.
- Sales Orientation: Proven experience in sales, business development, or sales management. Ability to handle sales inquiries, negotiate deals, and identify upselling opportunities.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, client needs, and business performance to inform decision-making and growth strategies.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with B2B software sales and enterprise client interactions. (min. 3-5 years of experience)
- Experience working with Financial Services, IoT, Insurance, Supply chain
- Familiarity with AI
Additional Information
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and software devlopment. Understanding of software products and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and software monetization models (subscription, licensing, etc.).
- Previous experience with fundraising, investment, or business case development.
- Proficiency in additional languages (especially German) is a plus.
